RETIREMENT REMOVAL: Newport, South Wales to Alicante, Spain

After receiving an enquiry via our website that came from a previous customer recommendation we were recently tasked with collecting 500 cubic feet of pre-packed household effects from a rural property in Newport, South Wales destined for Alicante, Spain.

A lovely retired couple who will be relocating to the continent for some well earnt rest and sunshine. Their treasured belongings will stay with us in store at our West Hereford site before we load them onto the 48 tonne, 72 metre road train known as Black Beauty for groupage delivery around May/June 2026.

We did offer designated transit however it wasn't financially viable and we were the first to point that out so groupage it will be. Sometimes clients are so eager and excited to get to paradise they oversee the financial commitment... groupage is cheaper but a longer lead time, designated is exactly what it says on the tin... more expensive but quicker and only that personal consignment.

As this was a customer pack (Bronze Package) they packed and labelled every item as instructed leaving us to export wrap the rest and raise the inventory for customs.

Another smooth move by our UK (Hereford) crew. Next stop for this consignment will be mainland Europe travelling via France and heading south to Alicante in Spain. Who knows one day we might be neighbours .
